Don't ask me how this Japanese Camellia has so many buds for this time of year. I originally planted it in a different area. It had a lot of buds but never was I able to see even the slightest color on them like now. The tips of the leaves were burnt and the buds sadly fell off one by one!

After some months I realized it had been planted in an area that was too damp and too sunny. Japanese Camellia does better in shade and moist soil, so I moved it to a dryer more shadier area.

These pictures were taken about a week and a half ago when we had a lot of rain. Today, there are some blooms on them already so I am able to see that it's pink-orange in color. I am looking forward to the spring when it should flourish even more because I believe I had found a better home for my Japanese Camellia.
