Do you feel like you need a change? Face painting can be fun and an option if you want a change. In this photograph, I am a dragon. I thought the artist did a pretty good job, and she was fast too. Made me feel like a something different for a day. You should try it sometime :-)

Blue Agave Margarita

>> Monday, March 8, 2010

My favorite drink. Learned it from one of the Mexican restaurants when we used to go out for Friday Vent Nights. My significant other and I started naming our complaining sessions "Friday Vent Nights" when we would allow each other to vent anything, work, less than perfect people...[smiles] you get the picture. Those hours went by so fast, and it seemed as if I never could finish venting. I have missed those days, but this weekend we had a chance to recreate one of those Friday Vent Nights with our Blue Agave Margaritas. Only with a slight different atmosphere - in our backyard, with Miss T sliding in her kiddie pool.

It was nice and sunny on Sunday. So sweet to just sit down for a moment and enjoy the weather. We love having these little moments, that's when we appreciate and realized why we love California so much.

Take Control of Your Debts

One could never imagine that not having a job would make so much difference. Loosing a paycheck causes financial burden and stress. It’s inevitable when you are indeed in the group of people who are living pay check to pay check.

So many have failed to make payments to their creditors and keeping up with the bills due to job lost. If you are one of many, consider credit counseling, they are specialists who could help negotiate your monthly payments. When your bills are more than what you have to pay, it could be overwhelming and stressful to prioritize which to pay off first. This is exactly the time to use debt consolidation to help minimize the monthly payment. The credit counselors have agreements with major creditors who will arrange to reduce current interest rates and the monthly paid out amounts.

A New Horizon is a debt consolidation company that also provides a program that helps to eliminate bad spending habits as well. Once you go through this program you’re not only bringing up your credit score, but will also gain financial knowledge. Knowledge is power for stability, especially if you are responsible for other people. So seek help before you risk setting yourself up for a future of denials from creditors and having bad credit scores.

Pink Cabbage Flower

>> Saturday, March 6, 2010

The pink Cabbage flower is probably lilac. I like the plant from afar because it gives off tremendous color. I have other pink things to present, but the plant has such a funny story behind it, and I am in need of a happy re-concussion!

I have this friend, who is busy-busy-busy, I mean to the point she doesn't know what hit her from behind! One day I came over to her place and saw pots and pots of dieing plants. She has never been into taking care of plants, but her friends kept giving them to her - how I wish I had this problem.
I fought with myself for over an hour about whether to ask or not to ask, and during this hour - you know I did not hear a word she was saying! Because - I was so into my thoughts - I wanted to bring these poor things home and take care of them. Yes! I confess! I was so in pain for these plants that looked desperately in need of love.

So I did - I said it, I asked if I could please take these plants home to nurture them back to life. I thought she was going to yell at me. I told her, hey, these plants are in need of some care, and I would like very much to take them home and put them in proper pots so that they can flourish. I will bring them back in great health for you with the exception, I will keep one offspring for myself.
I was so happy when she agreed! It was like getting a deal at the Flea Market! Wow, I took these plants home and didn't know what they were at first because they were in such bad shape!
It was not until a few months later, when it was time to send the plants back to her, and all three were in great shape. I kept one for myself, and don't know how the other two are doing but mine is very happy!
