Decorate Meals with African Violets

I am lucky that African Violets like my care. I usually have a few of pots of flowers on hand almost all the time. I think one of the things I really like about African Violets  is the fact that they bloom flowers indoors even in the winter time! I keep the pots by my kitchen window and they get enough sunlight and warmth  that they produce very healthy flowers that can last up to two to three weeks.
Besides admiring their beauty on the stalks, I use them for decorations. When I am in the mood to fancy-up my meals, I grab some African Violet flowers and display them with the food. They add color and heighten up the mood. The flowers make food look more formal, dressed, and pleasing to the eyes. On other occasions I added them to the side of my candles. They give-off a very pretty and delicate touch of class.  The delicate flowers also can add a gentle romantic feel to any setting, and never overly done. Next time you have a special occasion to host, serve your meals with some flowers, or lay the African Violets next to your candles.

  16. Flowers always seem to dress up an otherwise drab dish. I use them sometimes for parties. The violets really make the limes shine.
