The pink Camellia shrub at our community center already has a ton of flowers. My Japanese Camellia hasn't done much yet this year and it is a coral shade of pink. Last year, my Blooming Camellia had a lot of buds in February, so we are still a bit too early to see any flowers on it. ReplyDeleteI read a hear wrenching essay written by a police officer once. He and his wife were very active in their son's lives and thought they had gone over all the vital information re. the dangers of substance abuse, but somehow one of his son's experimented with the can of spray used to clean the computer (sorry can't remember the name of the product). He was rushed to the hospital comatose and never came out of it. What and how can we make our children more aware and diligent in the war against substance abuse??

" - it is a very tough question Amanda that I guess there is no perfect answer nor perfect formula to raise our kids, but with our love ( which hopefully is not suffocating) and guidance, we just hope they grow to be taking the right decisions in life. I don't have kids, but I deal with students where a lot of times my heart cries to them for the decisions they make in life :(

ReplyDeleteI think we need to keep communications open with our teenagers and try to be there for them. Unfortunately we can't watch over them every minute so all we can do is hope for the best.
