Our Aunt Mary Beth has many talents, and one of them is quilting. The picture on the left is of Trinity's finger pointing out a birdie in grandma's quilt. There are so much details on the quilt, it is inconceivable how much time it must have taken to create. The quilt has pretty shades of pinks, lilacs, and blues, to be correct, many other colors. Aunt Mary Beth made it for her sister, which is Trinity's grandma, and her brother in law for their anniversary. I have always admired the quilts I saw in the past, but never have I known a quilt maker until now.

I couldn't imagine putting together such details myself, and fooling around with fabrics. I only have so much patience. Even though I am very patient, there are certain kinds of activities that would drive me bonkers, and having too many details to keep track would be one of them.

I tell myself no fooling around with fabrics, but if I was motivated enough, I could make it happen. The very last sewing project was the crib bedding for Miss T. I was not happy when I found out how much the bedding set would cost, so I decided to make it myself for Trinity's cribMy sister in Santa Barbara, on the other hand, probably sews every day for her Etsy shop. You can view my post Theme Pillows and Accessories.

In sum, the quilt is amazing and I wanted to share the beautiful work today from a very talented quilt maker. It takes a lot of patience and love to create beautiful keepsakes for those special people in your life, and lucky those who are blessed with talented family members.

Thanks for stopping by today.
