Starbucks Mobile Apps for iPhone and Androids - Thursday Two Questions #107

I can't remember what the Java Chip Frappuccino was called when Starbucks first introduced the Frappuciano line. I LOVE IT. I was addicted. Once they changed the drink to Java Chip Frappuccino I definitely wasn't into it as much, plus life got in the way.
But, a recent the awakening of 'Le' Java Chip Frappuccino from Santa- Barbara- sister was all it took. I went back to Starbuck's Java Chip Frappuccino undeniable addiction.

While mourning for the fate of my Lovely Mercedes Benz  the last couple of weeks, all I could think about was 'Le' Java Chip Frappuccino to ease the pain. (Well, I had to have a good excuse for my addiction.) I've also learned how to make 'Le' Java Chip Frappuccino, but with my alternative blenders, it is really a pain. If you're interested in learning how to make 'Le' Java Chip Frappuccino or the recipe, check out my post: How to Make a Starbucks Java Chip Frapucino.

On the way home from physical therapy, I decided to stopped in the closest Starbucks for a tall - no, grande - heck why not venti size of Java Chip Frappuccino. Yet after a couple of minutes, a better judgement set in, I decided to have it split into two, so that I can share it with MattLove, after all, a half was plenty enough at 11:30am. While waiting, a hip young lady came up to order her drink, then she held her mobile phone to the infra red lamp and "zap" she was done. She and the cashier smiled at each other, while I gawk with curiosity. I was dieing to know how she possess one of those?

She said, it's the Starbuck's mobile app. The app will record your purchases, give you points / stars, at some point you will get a free drink depending on how addicted you are, then on your Birthday they reward you with a Free Birthday Drink. You can enter your credit card info or debit card info on your iPhone mobile app or Android mobile app and the payments will be deducted from there.

Awesome, awesome! I thought, if only the grocery stores would get apps too. No more carrying around these shoppers' reward cards and credit cards. Of course I had to get it and share:

  6. Thank you for the nice advice. I will have to tailor it for me.

    1) Do you know of the Starbuck's app or have it on your phone?
My iPhone is for Internet, messaging, and games only. It doesn't work on as a mobile phone as I don't use a SIM card in it. So it might work but only if their Internet is up.

    2) Did you know that you can split the large drinks into two?
Mrs. Jim and I split a lot of food and drink orders from a lot of places. Sometime there is an 'extra plate' charge. This called a 'diversion charge in France.
