Don't Worry I Have a Present for You

Yesterday when SO came home from work, we had our usual routine catch-up moment about each others' day.

I was telling SO about Trinity's and my many adventures at home. How we were out and about at the mall to find a Father's Day gift coming this weekend, but before we could find a gift, Trinity got hungry, and needed to go to the bathroom, so we decided to take a break...

So I confessed to SO: "Honey, I wanted you to know that I don't have a gift for you for Father's Day, so if you could think of something or want a day off, please let me know."

SO was band-aiding a boo-boo on Trinity's knee in the bathroom. Trinity puts her hand on her daddy's shoulder and said: "That's okay daddy, "I" have a present for you."

Both SO and I were super surprised. Wow, I was thinking, "boy, am I off the hook". I wonder what she's talking about.

Daddy excitedly asked:"Yeah, what did you get for me?"

Trinity called out to me from the bathroom: "Mom! What did I get for daddy's present?"

Hahaha. I supposed the idea and the event that we went to the mall together with a mission to find a Father's Day gift resinated in that little mind. She most probably don't remember that we took a break from shopping - but never resumed the mission.

Below are photos of Trinity (2011) while playing "Bob and Betty the Builders with Daddy in the back yard."
