Garlic is one of the most use vegetables in my kitchen. They are very tasty in exotic dishes that need a little kick. And for my taste bud, that covers just about all the food I eat. Garlic has an interesting spiciness that isn't quite hot to the mouth, but spicy in a subtle way. If you've left your garlic in the fridge long enough you will would have seen the green leaflets grew. So you must have known it is that easy to grow garlic, right?

Below is how I grew / started my garlic plant.

What you will need:
1) A to-go sauce container or a similar size condiment dish.
2) 6 cloves of garlic, with the rough side still on and not cut.

How to make your garlic cloves grow:
1) Peel the outer skin off the garlic cloves.
2) Set the six cloves of garlic side by side in the sauce container, rough side of garlic down.
3) Pour enough water in the container to cover just the bottom.
4) Set the sauce container by the window and water when needed.

It shouldn't take too long for the leaflets to grow. Pictured here are the results of 1 week's growth. Yes, garlic is easy and fast to grow. I chose the cloves that look a bit mature, solid - not thin.
