My neighbors just got Dish Network and the kids are over there all the time now! There is some new show they are hooked on, and just as soon as they get their chores and homework done, it’s out the door to the neighbor’s they go. I’d like for them and their friends to want to spend time at our house, so that I can be involved and know what is going on in their lives. I try to always have good snacks on hand, and be friendly to their friends. I’m going to look into getting Dish Network as well. From what it sounds like, I think the whole family will like it. It’s not really a matter of “keeping up with the Joneses” as my husband would say, it more just wanting the kids to play with their friends at our house. If it is a certain TV show that they want to share with their friends, I am happy to provide that if it means they will be around more.

Haha, this reminds me of my son running off to watch his favorite shows with his friends that has the dish network...I will check it out see if it's more doable than cable. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteIt's funny how they get hooked on certain shows isn't it -- my two right now really like iCarly -- which is fine, it's a silly show but nothing too terrible so I'm ok with it. But I know what you mean about wanting them to hang out with their friends at your house -- I try to encourage this also -- so I know what they are up to -- LOL
