I really dig getting older! Aside from all the aches and pains that comes with age, mentally, I have never been stronger. The occasional breakdown comes seldom verses before when I was pre-teen and teenager. I can say back then, I cried over just about anything. My mom used to say, don't let them see you cry, because people take it as a sign of weakness. But even though I didn't want people to think I am weak, most times I couldn't hold back my tears, because the emotions just got the best of me.

Second nature to me now, everyday, I made sure that I take care of what is important to me and the people I love in my life. Other things are just not as important anymore like they once were. For example: if I have to run out of the house looking unprepared because I stayed up all night with T to keep her fever down, well, it is what it is.

Now I understand how some people can live by themselves without the interaction of others, because after a lot of practice, we all get better at what we do repeatedly. I like that I don't flip over things that I can't control anymore. If I don't get something from trying, I think that god must have other ideas for me.
More importantly, I dig how I feel as I get older. I am able to see more of me and who I am. I used to be so confused about who I should be, what I should do. It has taken me a long time to find time to focus on myself internally, but thank god it finally has reached a point of clarity.

Now, aren't you glad I am not 100% clueless all the time, but only occasionally? :-)
