Oysters Raw and Delicious!

Right back at ya ICY BC! It was all your fault for posting those oysters, it gave me the ultimate craving for some since I saw that post!
So given that we've finished our taxes - it was time to celebrate! Woo-hoo! I feel so relieve, and whatever next will be dealt with when the time comes! And where do I go to celebrate? Straight to the Happy Hour hang out down the Expressway...!

By far this is the best place to go for raw oysters! It is an acquired taste I must admit, but once you're in - you are one of the kind! It's okay, I still feel feminine and prissy even with my manly taste for certain things! Enjoy your Friday everyone!

I don't use the sauce that comes with the oysters, but rather make my own sauce:
1/2 teaspoon salt, 1/2 teaspoon of pepper, 1 table spoon of Tabasco sauce and two lemon wedges.

  6. Ladies, I felt exactly how you are feeling now about oysters, it's been many moons though. I am so glad I had conquered the fear. Because I love seafood so much, it doesn't take a lot to convince me. I am always looking for something new to try. Thanks for visiting.

  8. My father used to eat oysters and us girls (my sister and I) were curious so we kept bugging Mom until she made us some. That was the first and last encounter I've had with them. Perhaps they are not food for children?

  9. Nedekir - what does "Totoo ba ang kasabihan nito" mean? Anyhow, yes, all you do is swallow. I haven't really thought about it, but you're right.
Judy- when I was younger - I hated them, especially when my brothers and father wanted me to try...yuk! But now, it's a whole different story. :-)
