The best shrimp cocktail is the type that comes with the whole shrimp. Just peel, blanch and it's ready to go into my tummy. I don't normally use the sauce that goes with it. I could never get used to the taste and not sure what it does to the flavor. But how I eat my shrimp is by creating my own sauce. It's really simple if you can ask the waiter to bring you some lemon wedges:
- Squeeze some lemon juice into a condiment dish, mix a little pinch of salt and as much pepper as you like. Mix it up and I can guarantee you it is ten times tastier than that thick red stuff that the restaurants bring to you. Give it a try.
