Late Easter Wish While on Travel - Thursday Two Questions #132

Hard boiled easter eggs Happy belated Easter! Trinity had a week off from school so we took the opportunity to go see grandma. We traveled to Michigan and had Easter in the significantly cold weather - although it is warm inside the house.
It was not the same as other Easters for miss Trinity. No egg hunting, no kids, but she is making the best of her time here.
Other than being different, we had a very successful trip so far. Trinity was invited to sit in the pilot's cockpit. She was offer to wear the pilot's hat and sit in the pilot's chair. That was a special moment, maybe more on that when I get back home.
Trinity made these eggs before we left and even named them.

While in Michigan Trinity did see the Easter Bunny.

  1. Wow what a great Easter you had. Trinity is adorable and how fun to sit in the cockpit.

    1. I actually had to work all day on Easter Sunday so no, there was no celebration but I made the best of it.

  2. Love your eggs. Wish I could have seen you while you were here. :-) Hope you enjoyed time with family.

I picked up Mom and took her to Chris and Mari's. We did spend time there after church playing with my oldest daughter's baby and my baby boy's baby and enjoying dinner together. The weather was beautiful, and the next day it snowed. Oh well, it's Michigan.

  3. Sometimes, 'different' may seem odd to a child, but I know she appreciated the special things that wouldn't have happened otherwise.

  4. The photo of Trinity and the bunny is so sweet.
We don't have family in this area so no to your first question.
I stopped by a friend's house to pick up a book and she and her kids were coloring eggs. That's as close as we got to anything Easter.

  5. We visit my parents every week so it isn't something that different for us. Easter was not really celebrated this year for the kids as we didn't have any egg hunt.

  7. Oh, I love her Easter Bunny! How cute! I also love that she named her eggs too. My daughter named her Peeps candy. When I asked her what their names were, she said "They are all called Pinky." I guess because they were pink?

  8. Hi Amanda ~~ Nice post, I am very glad that you guys had a nice time for Easter.

    1) Did you visit family on Easter?
Not this year, Mrs. Jim and I went to church and then out to eat at Papadeaux, just the two of us.
But we generally do go to church with family and then eat. Part of it is because our youngest daughter and her kids (youngest grandchildren too) have moved to London. We did Skype with them.

    2) Did you do anything Easter-ish, like painting eggs with your kids, friends' kids, grand kids?
We had a couple of rabbits around, one Mrs. Jim planted some yellow flowers in (see this week's blog for a picture), colored plastic eggs on the tables, and other flower pots with the yellow flowers.
    ..
BTW, I signed up here with Mr. Linky about Midnight but now that I'm back I see it went away. I was number three then.

  10. Amanda, I came back to visit you and noticed that my link never made it. I remember adding it, but have many blogger issues lately even after clearing the cache it has been losing posts. I hope you travelled safely and enjoyed your stay.

  11. You came to Michigan for Easter, and we left it for Easter. :) The eggs are pretty and it's funny that she named them. :)
