Challenges of Planning a Vacation

Challenged with Time
For one thing, as parents SO and I only have so much time alone together. So when we plan a vacation, we wanted it to be very special. Recently, my son expressed the idea of traveling to a resort in the Mediterranean. It immediately sparks ideas in my head and I started my search for med cruises information and prices.
Look at the photo on the left, isn't it beautiful? The blue water is refreshing!

We have a long list - more like several lists - of places we would like to see and things we would like to do. But of course, the conversations never get anywhere near halfway done before our princess interrupted us. So be aware of the challenges below and try to avoid them when you're planning your vacation.

Challenged with the Web
While I am so thankful for the internet, and cannot imagine life without it. I find it hard to stay focused on the web. You could be sucked into a completely different subject before you realized. You can get intrigued to click on certain links, one moment you're searching for Cheap Vaal accommodation at the Vaal dam in South Africa, and next thing you know, you're being wowed by how reasonable the flights to Barcelona are. So we found that we can get more done if we do the searches on our own and then come back and brief each other. Set a meeting time and present the proposals and state our opinions, or vice versa.

Challenged with DIYs
Technology, new tools, and loads of information made it possible for us to perform many things ourselves without relying on a vendor. We now print our own photos on the printer at home, rather than bringing them to photo developing places. We are expected to be able to plan our own vacations and book flights online without relying on the airline operators. All these things are time-consuming, and they can be stressful to fulfill. Yet, it is the world we live in now and unless we have personal assistants, it will get done when it gets done. On the other hand, we also are control freaks, and we would probably won't feel good to let someone else handle our planning anyhow.

    1. I am easily distracted anyways. It has to be interesting enough to keep my interest. Those Mediterranean Cruises are very interesting though. :-)

    1. Yes. We always talk about where to go and what to do as if we are million-airs. :-) I think we just love the internet too much. The overwhelming information!

  3. I don't want to give up the internet, but the way back before it, life is much simpler! Now, it takes so much time just to make a phone call due to automated answering system.

  4. Planning for a vacation is very difficult when it comes for elders. It's a very challenging task about them. They are not able for traveling at the old age, but many home care agencies give the proper care and best assistance for them to do anything and to enjoy their life at the old age.

    1. Very true. However, I think we tend to forget that the elderly needs to get out too. They have to be able to enjoy life much more so than any of us. If that makes sense.

  5. Oh my, I so couldn't agree more! I was so stressed out planning our Disney trip. So many links get distracting me, and before I knew it, I could tell you what new Disney movies were being made, but I had no idea about any of the plans I originally set out to make lol.

    1. It is our typical journey, but then, once we get there, it is worth it isn't it. Come-on, I know that we wouldn't want it any other way. Let someone else plan? No way. Smiles.

  6. Vacation is very important when, you do continuously work a week in office and feel pain in back. But, it's a very difficult task for them who have unbearable pain and are unable to move perfectly. Many physiotherapist are expert to solve this problem and provide good treatment for patients and make perfect them for vacation.
