Next Monday 2/20 is a holiday to some people, but not to me. Usually the banks have the most holidays off - and they are getting this day off! Those banker hours, they have cushy jobs. Smiles. There are some recognized days on the calendar that are not holidays, for example: Valentine's Day, Mother's Day, Father's Day, Secretary Day, etc.
Sometimes I wished some of these recognized days would turn into holidays. That one day, the US would pronounce them as days off from work and school. As I look on my Holiday 2012 schedule for work, there is a big gap between New Year and the next holidays off for me, I will have to wait until May for Memorial Day. Yes, I don't even get Easter off.
Of course, I would take any day that the US determined as holidays. It is wishful thinking, but it would be nice if somehow we can spread the holidays out so that we don't have such a long dry spell without a day off.
Here are Self Sagacity's Thursday Two Questions #74:
1) Do you have a recognized day in mind (like Mother's Day or Father's Day, etc) that you think should be a Holiday (day off from work)?
2) Do you have a Holiday in mind that you think we should banned?
By the way please remember to add me to your circles. Thanks!
