Lady Gaga Cheap Thrills or Smart Business?

3 Iconic Female Stars We Love to Hate, Really?

Lady GaGa – avant-garde fashionista, over-the-top singer, and “an offensive idiot” have all been said when referring to this music sensation. They mock her for her meat dress and her controversial song lyrics and videos. Yes, the audience makes it clear that the majority of them find her to be nothing more than a theatrical joke. It is easy to hate her, for she puts herself out there to be criticized as with any entertainer. But as Kelly Cutrone states, “You have to be prepared for people to hate you. Average people love to be average because no one bothers them.”

I am a starch defender of the Haus of GaGa. They just hate her because she’s a woman. David Bowie is weird but because he’s a man you just think he’s good at his job. Unlike most others, I do see the subtle political references and criticisms within her music. Her videos are always monumentally better than her competitors, bringing creativity, originality, and controversy to a whole new level. Not to mention the instruments used in her music had the best motion sound low pro from guitar center, seriously. In an interview, she claimed that she will be the face of the people and values she represents, even if she has to take “all the arrows” because someone needs to.

Lady Gaga took time to visit Walt Disney World this summer. Who knows she might have even stayed at one of the hotels inside Disney World.

Lady Gaga turned many heads during her time in the theme park, where she rode attractions. The rumor suggested Lady Gaga decoys were placed in the park to allow the real Lady gaga some privacy. Given her huge celebrity status, Lady Gaga was also offered private passage through the Magic Kingdom’s “utilidor” tunnels, underneath the park’s main streets, out of the view of guests.
Nice. I am sure many visitors being so close such as the Radisson Worldgate Orlando guests would have love to have bumped into her.

She is at the forefront of the gay civil rights movement; her songs have inspired potentially suicidal teens to find their inner-peace at the “Electric Chapel”; and most of all, she emphasizes to her fans that you should be “first and foremost married to your own heart and soul.” She is a symbol for self-expression and self-worth. Hate her all you want, but when was the last time you saved someone from hating themselves because of their societal determined inadequacy?

  1. While I certainly don't hate her, I also have little use for her. I'm just not interested in her flair for drama.

  2. Hate is a strong term. I personally don't care for her fashion style. It's way too flaming for me. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions and thankfully here in America we still have freedom of speech.

  3. I have to say she has to make herself popular so she can stand out among others..

  4. i have to admit i do not follow entertainment news and do not watch a lot of TV except news, some sports, and travel/NG channel, so I do not know what is going around with them and what is to love or hate with them.

  7. Lady Gaga appeals to a group of people. She is very original and has a well formed character. At the least, I believe she is true to herself and doesn't try to be anyone else...As a matter of fact her videos have prompt other artists to be more bold and extreme - and those are who turned me off.

  8. I am so out of the loop when it comes to the media. You would have to live under a rock to not have seen her or know of her though and I appreciate her honesty and openness.
