If you are a teacher or always dreamed of becoming one, without much said, I will get right to the point. The program has a stipend award for those qualify to be trained to earn a Master's degree in teaching high-need secondary schools for such states as Indiana, Ohio, and Michigan.
For those who are not teachers but always dreamed of contributing your knowledge and teaching skills to make a difference in the educational field, here is your chance to make a difference. Eligible applicants include current undergraduates, recent college graduates, mid career professionals, and retirees who have majored in, or had careers in, STEM fields.
So what are STEM fields? They are easy to remember if you think of educational courses and related career fields, S for Science, T for Technology, E for Engineering, and M for Mathematics.
This is an exciting opportunity to receive the award and the certification to help fill the shortage and need for teachers. Candidates need to have at least 3.0 GPA or higher, and an undergraduate degree. ReplyDeleteoh, this is such a wonderful information Amanda, I too am in the teaching fellowship program here in San Diego, as I am also kind of a career shifter :) though I was teaching also before, but not in college level and not in the secondary level. I love it that I do not have to pay for my tuition fees and we are paid while we study at the same time, only that, we have to work at the same time also. But I prefer working at the same time than spending thousands of money for tuition.

ReplyDeleteI have subbed and loved it, but in Michigan we are laying off teachers. I have no tenure and not enough education to get a permanent position. I adore teachers. They fill such a wonderful position in our society.
