Guess What I Am?

A - for Assistant(s) Chef, as part of Trinity's Birthday, she assisted the show host in baking pizzas, they turned out perfect as they were Sari's wooden toys. Sari was our show host on Saturday. She is from the Bay Area and has been entertaining for a long time.

I first met her at the West Gate Puppet Show, a Wednesday Mom and Me outing – free shows for moms on a budget. It happens once a month on the first Wednesday of each month. When I started looking around for ideas for T's Birthday, the prices other entertainers wanted for just one activity were scary. I was very skeptical about having someone I don't know well come and try to entertain the kids, and had no idea how it would turn-out, or what to expect. I know from going to the other parties that it’s very difficult to keep children under three entertained. Their attention span is so limited and if the older, younger brothers and sisters attend as well, what will they be doing? I needed a self entertaining activity too, and that’s why I rented a jumping house.

Sari does it all, balloon animals/ sculptures, face/ painting, party theme puppet show & dressed up character - as such she was Cinderella for T's BD. We also had Buzz light year crash the party, it was a surprised character for the boys. And last, but probably the most fun activity for the children was the horse carriage ride. Sari had a pony tied up to a little wagon and pulled the kids around our court. They all seemed to enjoy the ride tremendously.

The planning took months, and like parties, it ended very quickly. At least to me it was too quick. I enjoyed having all my friends in one place and their kids at the house. They were all great guests. The shade from our apple tree was just enough to create a little stage center, although we did have three other umbrellas and gazebos. It turned out fabulously and a wonderful way to host a party for twenty kids of all ages.

Thanks for stopping by today.
