A Place for Me

There is a place for everyone in this life and on this earth. Even though sometimes we feel small and insignificant, in contrast we are huge and important to the people in our lives. So why is it that sometimes we don't see the importance of our significance in a positive way?
It is because the attachments to being important is humongous
it over shadows the joy.

Take my responsibility of Trinity for example, I am so lucky to have this opportunity to spend quality time with her, and to be with her as much as I have been. But, most of the time I couldn't wait until I am off duty. The price to pay for this joy is enormous! I normally end-up furious when this little person doesn't seem to hear what I am saying.

Then one day she surprises me when she sees me hurt, she took off in a hurry, ran upstairs to get a band-aid for my "boo-boo." At two and a half years old she blew me away! Moments like this brought light to the reason for my existence and how wonderful it is to be needed.

My place right now is with everyone that loves me, appreciating the joy with the pain, and it's a good place to be.

  1. Nice one. Yes, our place is with the people who love us. It gets so hard to remember that when we're stressing about struggles and worries.

  12. I must expand that this post wasn't just about Trinity, though it probably came through that way at first impression. Even my significant other thought she was the main point! I only used her as one example to the many people in my life that I am responsible for. I don't want her to read this someday and think she was not a joy in my life. Though she is tough, she gives back all the love and happiness anyone could ever hope for - innocently.
