As I am planning my holiday meals, I am spilling my weakness. Glass Noodles Seafood is one of my favorite dishes. I have to admit, I am greedy when it comes to sharing this dish, I devour it like breathing the air. So if you are sharing this dish with me, you will end up hungry. I have had it over and over and for years and not even once am I sick of it. I only have a few favorite dishes, but none are easy to duplicate. I suffer because even between restaurants the same dish is not the same! Therefore, I must drive to the one restaurant that is the best at making this dish no matter how far it is.

Seafood is my favorite food. I eat so much shellfish; one would think I eventually will turn into a shrimp or a crab one day. I prefer my seafood steamed or boiled and never fried. And glass noodles, or vermicelli has to be my favorite type of noodle, something about it's transparency and the thinness make it really enticing to me. Though it is hard to find a good brand that won't mush, break, or swell too big.

As such the dish pictured here has the perfect combination of most everything I love. This dish is made up of cuttlefish or squid, minced chicken, shrimp, glass like vermicelli noodles, and lots of greens and onions. It is tangy, spicy, tasty and delicious! I don’t know what the name of the brown sauce is between the glass noodles, but I think it is the magic ingredient! When I asked they said it was sweet chili paste, well, I couldn't find it in the super market anywhere. If any one knows, please let me know.

This is my long love, cheer-up dish. When I want to reward or comfort myself, this would be it. So this holiday, I am going to make sure my presents are mostly Glass Noodle Seafood.

  6. Oh man, you are making all so hungry.. LOL.. I love seafood too and from the look of your pic, I think we will end up in some food fight if I happened to be around.. Just kidding.. And oh yes, I certainly comprehend what it meant by 'the same dish not as the same dish'.. It happened too often here as well..
